This happened a few days ago, but I haven't had the chance to post about it yet.
This is quite possibly the funniest D2 thing I've ever had. The second funniest is the Cain song
.
Imagine a sorceress, in act 1 nightmare. Imagine a multi-shot lightning-enchanted unique, quite possibly the most deadly combination for most characters.
Now imagine my sorceress being completely invulnerable to him, and killing him with a spell dealing 5-7 damage.
It happened
.
You see, I was wearing the unique war belt, Thundergod's Vigor. It has 20 lightning absorb on it. With just my 40 lightning resistance, I would probably have died in one or two multi-shot lightning blasts. My merc did
. However, with this lightning absorb, I actually gained life from this attack; each individual bolt doesn't do that much damage. So, though I was constantly under attack from this unique skeleton archer and his minions, I was perfectly safe.
And I was using chilling armour. At this time, I just had a single point in it, and was wearing a +1 sorceress skills amulet. So that makes it deal 5-7 damage every time I'm hit with a ranged attack...
The lightning enchanted bolt things count as ranged attack. And my chilling armour bolt triggers the lightning enchantment.
What this then means is that every time he's hit, he releases a lot of bolts with heal me and trigger my armour to hit him. Because of the multi-shot, I was always hit. Theoretically, this process might have been exponential, since each of my bolts tiggered many of his. But I'm not sure if this was the case. Either way, I just sat there and watched this potentially really deadly unique impale himself on my armour.
That was funny
