Once there was a pirate, feared across the seas,
Not only did he have peg legs, but peg arms and peg knees.
He cursed a steady stream, of unheard words most foul,
He had bit the head off his parrot, and replaced it with an owl.
His ship was the Jolly Robert, on the mast the skull and bones,
but black paint was expensive, and the banks refused him loans.
So off to sea he sailed, in search of fame and gold,
The pink flag hung above him, his adventures now unfold.
After months at see a'sailin', the lookout cried "Ahoy",
a ship was seen on the horizon, the captain filled with joy.
"Our first victim" he cried, with orders yelled out,
as they neared the ship, aboard came a shout.
"Begone!" said the voice, "This must be a jest!",
"Noone could be dumb enough to attack a princess!".
Glancing above, upon the mast with a frown,
the Pirate saw the royal ensignia, the harp and the crown.
"You're wrong!" he yelled back, and added with a cry,
"There is none on the seas, that is as dumb as I!".
His crew lay agasp, and looked at him in wonder,
And suddenly their laughter filled the air like thunder.
"Who is this fool, that captains our boat?
Let's throw him overboard, let us see if he floats!"
They grabbed the Pirate, and took him to the plank,
And when they pushed him off, to the bottom he sank.
Struggle as he might, he was dragged down by his legs,
and he wondered at the folly, of buying golden pegs.
Not only did he have peg legs, but peg arms and peg knees.
He cursed a steady stream, of unheard words most foul,
