Let's see about freeing up some memory. First thing to do, add a line that says "dos=high, umb" to the start of the config.sys file. That should free a lot up. Hmm... I'm guessing you have win 2000. I only have 98 so there are several things I'm not sure about. Try adding "RAM" to the end of the EMM386 line so it will read "DEVICE=C:\ WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM". There are several other things I did to my computer which I'm not going to pass on as you may be needing them. Anyway, try doing those. This should get rid of the memory problem.

Now, as for the sound card, it may work now. If not you should be able to find out what it is by going: Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel and then go into System. I'm on a stupid NT computer at the moment so I have to rely on my failing memory for the rest of it. I think there is a devices tag at the top. Click on it and then make sure it is on "view devices by type". Now it should be in one of the things there. I can't remember what it's called. I think it might be multimedia devices or something like that. If there isn't anything in there that sounds like it might be a sound card then just go through the different ones until you find them. In there there will probably be several things. Just tell me those.

An easier way to get the sound working would be to just go through the options in QFG3's install program until one works. The adlib option should work with any computer but the other options do sound better.
